Wyatt D. Hill, age 26, a resident of Tewksbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by his loving family, friends, and caring team of nurses and medical staff.

Wyatt was born in Burlington, Vermont on June 18, 1997. In November of 2005, Wyatt joined the loving family of Heather and Alfred Frugoli.

Wyatt grew up in a noisy, happy family with three siblings, along with countless friends and loved ones. Wyatt’s days were never short on joy or noise. Wyatt’s life was full of countless obstacles, which he hurdled at every opportunity. He wasn’t always happy to hurdle those obstacles, but he certainly did. Wyatt was an independent guy and tried to do many things by himself. For example, Wyatt learned to take a few steps independently, a fact which we learned only when we found his walker empty in his doorway, and Wyatt relaxing in his bed by himself: proud and happy. Wyatt was a huge fan of birthdays and would wait expectantly for his cake and ice cream upon hearing the first notes of the birthday song. Wyatt was also a huge ice cream connoisseur, and knew when we had plans for ice cream even if we spelled out the words.

Wyatt had countless friends and adventures in Vermont. He enjoyed people watching, and was blessed with a community of busy people to watch. He participated in Easter Egg hunts and Trick or Treating, and also loved camping and campfires. Wyatt also loved bike riding, and being pulled in the bike trailer behind Heather. Wyatt’s favorite pastime may have been swinging on a swing, where he would laugh and bring joy to everyone around him. Wyatt was a huge football fan and would yell at the TV with his watching partners. He was also a big fan of SpongeBob, and enjoyed that his older brother status gave him older brother TV privileges.

Wyatt went to school at Milton elementary, middle, and high school in Milton, Vermont. He was also a student at the Evergreen Center in Milford, Massachusetts. Wyatt was a member of the St. James Episcopal church in Essex Junction Vermont, where he had a community of people who loved him. Upon turning 22, Wyatt was a resident of the Incompass Residential Community where he lived at Makepeace, and found a new community of housemates. Most recently, Wyatt lived at Tewksbury State hospital, where he found yet another new community of loving care providers.

Wyatt was an amazing human, who gave unconditional love to everyone he encountered. Wyatt was an easily lovable guy, but was also a needy guy and therefore created a community of people caring for and loving him. In so doing, he taught those surrounding him about belonging to a community where support is given and received unconditionally and in endless ways. He taught us about giving but also about receiving support. Once you got to know Wyatt, you were forever a part of his life. He had a way with people, and will be remembered for his ability to spread joy and love to everyone he met.

Wyatt is survived by his parents and guardians Alfred Frugoli and Heather O’Connor Frugoli, his brother Connor Frugoli, and his sisters Aisling and Siobhan Frugoli. Wyatt is also survived by his family, especially Julie Roughgarden, Simone Arms, Ali Johnson, Joanne Davidman, Denise Noble, and Phil Shuman. In addition, he is survived by the Kamp Kaos children, who considered him one of their own.

The Frugoli family would like to thank the nursing and medical staff from the Lowell General Hospital who made Wyatt’s last days a gift. Wyatt was surrounded by people who genuinely loved and cared for him, up to his final moments. In addition, Wyatt had a lifetime of support from caring and gentle people who went out of their way to bless Wyatt and his whole family with a care and support network that cannot be understated. This included Kaye Lyons of Milton Vermont, and Heather Winship (Ogelby) of Essex Vermont.

Celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 23 from 4:00-6:00 pm at the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. Wyatt’s favorite color was red, and he loved a bright good time! Please wear your best, brightest clothing!
