Umbral Enchantress is an epic void affinity champion from the demonspawn faction in Raid Shadow Legends. She is a fantastic champion to have at your disposal with an array of exciting skills and abilities. Umbral is often a popular addition to arena teams, but she also works well in late game dragon and ice golem raids. Setups will be included for these content types during this guide, we will provide both a mid game guide and late game guide for umbral enchantress.
Her A3 ability provides an AOE provoke for 2 turns and makes her unkillable during this time. Her A2 block buffs ability is what makes her such a good choice for Ice Golem due to the second wave on stage 20. Lets also not forget that in the Demonspawn faction wars, Umbral is arguably the best champion for wave control and stopping counter attack buffs from landing.

Umbral Enchantress Skills Overview
A1: Essence Scepter
Attacks 1 enemy. Damage increases as current HP decreases.
Upgrades as follows:

A2: Immolate
Attacks all enemies. Has an 80% chance of placing a [Block Buffs] debuff for 3 turns.

A3: Undying Evil
Attacks all enemies. Has an 80% chance of placing a [Provoke] debuff for 2 turns. Places an [Unkillable] buff on this Champion for 2 turns. Places a [Block Active Skills] debuff on this Champion for 5 turns. The [Block Active Skills] debuff cannot be resisted or blocked and cannot be removed.

Umbral Enchantress Mid Game guide
Umbral Enchantress is a great champion for progression because of her 2-turn AoE Provoke skill with 100% chance to apply when booked. She can also deal good damage if built for it, making her a very flexible and generally useful champion to build. For the purposes of Mid-game she can work in any dungeons to keep the waves under provoke and help your squishy champions survive.
Masteries
There can be 2 different builds for her masteries. For a debuffer build, Defense and Support trees are preferred to go down to Eagle Eye on T6. Eagle Eye gives the Accuracy needed for Dungeons if your gear is not strong enough to grant enough Accuracy and is generally useful for Arena where you want as much Accuracy as possible. Defense tree offers damage mitigation and can help removing debuffs on her with Resurgent, very useful against enemies with debuff on their auto attack.
For a nuker build, Offense and Support trees are picked, Support tree provides the Accuracy so she remains functional as a provoker. Helmsmasher T6 on offense allows you to deal more damage if you can build her with enough Crit Rate and Crit Damage (220+).
Gear & Stats Build
As a debuffer, the most important stats for Umbral are Speed and Accuracy: you want her speedtuned with your booster to go first and provoke the enemies. Therefore, in terms of gear sets, Perception and Speed are generally useful and very good on her. Accuracy set is also an option. However, at this stage of the game, you should focus more on stats than on the sets themselves, this build here has two broken sets because the final stats are good enough.
For a nuker build, you’ll need Crit Damage or Crit Rate and Defense to deal damage.

For accessories, she doesn’t need any special set. However, Cleansing accessories can be good to remove extra debuffs on her.
Team Compositions and Tactics
Umbral’s role in Arena and Dungeons is to tank all the damage for your damage dealers such as Coldheart and to give your damage dealer more time in arena. A Dragon 20 Example Mid Game Team would be as follows:
- Runekeeper provides an Attack aura, Increase Attack and TM fill. He acts as a Healer and Cleanser as well.
- Dhukk brings AoE Decrease Defense and Attack.
- Umbral provides Crowd Control against waves.
- Coldheart provides damage and Enemy MAX HP nuke to kill the Dragon quickly
While for an Arena team, Umbral allows you to run your nuker slower than in a typical speed tuned comp, allowing you to build more damage. For arena, in a typical speed nuke team, use the following champions and roles:
- Skullcrown brings a Speed aura and DPS.
- Seeker provides a TM boost and an Increase Attack for your nuker.
- Madame Serris removes buffs and applies Decrease Defense.
- Umbral bring Provokes.
For Spider, Umbral tanks the Spiderlings for the first rotation, allowing your other champions to cycle through their abilities. Renegade reduces cooldown, Madame Serris provides Decrease Defense and Attack, Coldheart provides Enemy MAX HP nuke and TM control. An example spider 20 team can be seen in the image below, built up of Umbral, Renegade, Serris and 2 Coldhearts.
Umbral Enchantress Late Game Guide
Umbral Enchantress is a Void Epic from the Demonspawn faction. She is quite unique as she offers a reliable 2-turn AoE Provoke allowing you to control enemies for an extended period of time. She is usually key to Faction Wars stage 21 clear on auto due to her effectiveness on the Valkyrie waves. This guide will cover her role in Arena, Faction Wars, Doom Tower Secret Room and Dungeons.
Skills
Umbral’s A2 and A3 are both highly prizes skills. A2 places an AoE Block Buffs debuff and A3 puts up an AoE Provoke for 2 turns. Both should be booked to get 100% chance for maximum efficiency. Her A3 also places an Unkillable buff on herself allowing her to tank even more comfortably. Being Void affinity, she does not weak hit and places the debuffs reliably. However, A3 also places a Block Active Skill on herself for 5 turn and it cannot be removed.
Masteries
For Masteries, Offense and Support trees were picked here. Umbral does decent damage so selecting Offense tree can help with the dps. As for the Support tree, you want to pick the extra Accuracy, TM boost or Evil Eye for some extra TM control.
Umbral has different builds so the choice of T6 can vary. If you want to build her full on as a nuker, Helmsmasher can be picked for T6. If you want her to have some sustained damage against Bosses, Warmaster T6 is the natural choice. If you want her to be your debuffer for high end content like Arena and struggle with the Accuracy requirement, Eagle Eye T6 is the way to go.
Gear & Stats Build
Umbral’s builds are very flexible and diverse. It all comes down to what you need to achieve the end goal. For sets, you can use Speed or Perception as they are useful sets all around. As she provokes the enemies, Frost or Frostbite are also great options. Lifesteal or Regen/Immortal can bring more self sustain. The build showcased here is using Regen set mainly for the Secret Rooms in the Doom Tower.
As for stats, for a control build, you want enough Speed to be tuned with your booster, then enough Accuracy (220 for dungeons, 350 for hard Doom Tower and as much as possible for Arena). If you plan on giving her some damage, Crit Rate and Crit Damage are always nice to have. Having some Resist is also useful as you might encounter enemies who can remove her Unkillable with their A1 : around 300-350 Res is comfortable for PvE.

For accessories, no special set is particularly useful for her
Arena Team
Umbral is a popular choice in Arena for speed nuke teams up to Gold IV. Both her A2 and A3 can be useful, but the Provoke is really the best debuff here as it allows you to run your nuker at a lower Speed, allowing you to focus on damage. Her being Void makes it even more reliable.
The team showcased is a standard Speed nuke team:
- Arbiter provides Speed aura, TM boost and Increase Attack
- Deacon provides more TM control, Decrease Defense
- Umbral provides Provoke
- Skullcrown provides DPS
The Provoke debuff also allows your team to cycle through a turn safely, to prepare for a second nuke if needed. Her A2 can be used to counter Skullcrown or Swift Parry, and also Seeker if you didn’t build her with Crit.
Faction Wars
Demonspawn stage 21 can be quite difficult indeed due to the infamous Valkyries second wave. The huge Shield, Counter Attack buffs combined with Warcaster’s block damage can make fighting that stage very frustrating.
Umbral brings 2 important abilities to fight that : AoE Block Buffs on her A2 and AoE Provoke on her A3. Both of theses skills allow you to control the waves safely, letting your other champions do their job. Umbral is universally the go to control champion for this in the Faction regardless of the other champions.
The team showcased has:
- Drexthar for Accuracy aura, HP Burn for Achak and Sicia, and Provoke.
- Sicia for DPS, HP Burn, Decrease Defense and Weaken.
- Achak for TM boost, Block Debuffs, Strengthen, Freeze, HP Burn and Healing.
- Alure for TM control.
- Umbral for Provoke and Block Buffs.
We’ll target the Boss so Alure can control his TM more reliably with a mark on auto. The run is full auto otherwise so it is possible to select the AI presets for Alure to avoid any skill other than A1 if you would wish to so.
Dragon 20
Dragon 20 one of the most popular dungeons to farm and the best strategies to use against this Boss is lots of Poisons. However, those poisoners are quite weak on waves and can get killed easily by Hordin. Umbral is here to keep the threat away from those fragile champions with her Provoke.
The goal here is to bring the poisoners to the Boss alive:
- Hoforees provides Increase Attack and Revive.
- Umbral provides AoE Provoke.
- Tayrel provides a single target Decrease Attack on boss and an AoE Decrease Defense.
- Kael provides DPS on waves and Poisons against the Dragon.
- Frozen Banshee provides Poisons.
Ice Golem 20
Ice Golem stage 20 has one of the most problematic waves in Raid with the Terrorbeasts on wave 2. Once they buff the team with their Reflect Damage, your champions can kill themselves easily on the waves. Umbral provides different solutions to this problem with either her Provoke or her Block Buffs.
Here the featured team consists of:
- Hoforees for Increase Attack and Revive.
- Dhukk for Decrease Attack, Decrease Defense and Decrease Accuracy.
- Umbral for Provoke and Block Buffs.
- Apothecary for TM boost and Healing.
- Kael for DPS
We’ll target the Boss so Alure can control his TM more reliably with a mark on auto. The run is full auto otherwise so it is possible to select the AI presets for Alure to avoid any skill other than A1 if you would wish to so.
Dragon 25
Umbral is not a champion for end game speed farming teams. However, she can be very important for you in a progression setting when you are not strong enough to kill waves fast. She is showcased here in Dragon 25 to help you control waves so your nuker can have time to cycle through their skills.
In this team, Deacon provides TM control and Decrease Defense and Hoforees provides Increase Attack and Revive. These two champions allow Abbess, the main damage dealer here, to hit harder against waves. While Umbral provides AoE Provoke to keep any threat away from Abbess and Occult Brawler. Occult Brawler doesn’t bring a lot against waves but is very important against the Dragon himself as his Poisons allow you to kill the Boss fast and safely.
Ice Golem 25
Similarly to the Dragon’s Lair, Umbral brings Crowd Control against waves that can be of paramount importance in a progression scenario even when she doesn’t bring much against the Boss.
The key components here are Umbral and Hoforees for a guaranteed clear. The other spots are more flexible and will only impact your clear time. Umbral ensures your more fragile champions survive the waves so they can kill waves faster. Hoforees will then survive against the boss to bring back champions if needed to slowly kill the Boss.
Meanwhile, Dhukk brings Decrease Attack and Decrease Defense to help with wave clear and make enemies deal less damage. Tyrant brings extra protection and HP Burn to slowly kill the boss and Trunda brings DPS on the waves
